The iSEMcon EMX-7150 has low sensitivity and the ability to operate on Phantom Power as low as +12VDC with minimal performance sacrifice (the max SPL value will decrease slightly – to ~140 dB SPL vs 145 dB SPL, 12v vs 48v). This make the iSEMcon an excellent choice for wireless measurement, where lowering the phantom power voltage output of an RF transmitter increases the battery life for the measurement session, without sacrificing accuracy.
EMX-7150’s are built with an all stainless steel body and factory-replaceable electronics and capsule. iSEMcon use Neutrik™ connectors that create a watertight seal when used with an NC-3FX-HD connector. A rubber O-ring seals the microphone body to the XLR section, which in combination with the optional weather resistant SWS-7 windscreen, makes the 7150 an ideal choice for critical measurements in demanding environments. For Smaart users, the 7150 is a workhorse in the studio or in the field.
If you are planning on purchasing multiple EMX-7150’s for your measurement kit, Rational Acoustics also stocks matched pairs, and quads.
*Not a Class 1 Microphone. Meets or exceeds frequency response characteristics for Class 1 microphones according to IEC 61672 standards, under limited conditions (23deg C +/-3deg C, 1013 mbar +/- 30mbar).
