Class Terms & Conditions

Registering for a class
All class registrations must be made via our online registration system. Space in Smaart training classes is often limited and will be allocated on a “first-come, first-served” basis. We recommend registering early to guarantee a spot in the class. If you, or your organization, cannot register online please please contact moc.scitsuocalanoitar@gniniart to arrange an alternate registration/payment method.

Paying for a class
A $250 deposit is due at the time of registration to secure your spot in the class, with the balance due 2 weeks prior to the class start date (or you can choose to pay the registration fee in-full at the time of registration).  Payment may be made via any major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express). If you, or your organization, cannot pay via credit card, please contact moc.scitsuocalanoitar@gniniart to arrange an alternate registration/payment method.

Class fees cover your attendance at the class, all class materials and breakfast and lunch on all class days. Travel and accommodations are not included in the class fee.

For US-based classes hosted by Rational Acoustics, class materials include a Smaart software manual, digital copies of all of the presentations used in class, a class t-shirt and a Certificate of Attendance. For classes held outside of the US, please check with the class host if you have any questions about the exact class materials provided.

Smaart Software Licenses for Class Attendees
Each registered class attendee is entitled to a discount on a new license of Smaart software, or an upgrade from a previous version.

For US-based classes taught by Rational Acoustics, discounted licenses of Smaart can be purchased together with the class at the time of registration. Licenses will be emailed upon payment in-full of the class registration fee. (So if you choose to to only pay the deposit when you register, your license will not be emailed to you until the balance of your class registration fee is paid 2 weeks prior to the class start date).  Or, if you prefer to wait until after the class, you will receive a coupon code via email at the end of class which can be used in the Rational Acoustics online store to purchase a discounted license. Class coupons are valid for 90 days after the class end-date.

For classes held outside of the US, please check with the class host/instructor for details on obtaining a discounted class license.

Confirmation
You will receive an enrollment and payment acknowledgment via email within 48 hours of enrolling in a class.

Waiting List
If a class is full, you have the option to join the wait-list for the class. If spaces open up in the class, those spaces will be offered via e-mail to the people on the wait-list in the order that they signed up. Once offered a spot in the class, you will have 48 hours to accept the spot and submit payment or else we will move on to the next name on the wait-list.

Class Transfer
If you discover you are unable to attend a class after registering, you can transfer your registration to a class on an alternate date provided you notify Rational Acoustics in writing more than 2 weeks prior to the class start date and that there is availability in the requested class. A maximum of 2 transfers will be accepted for any given registration.
