Apple has officially released MacOS 10.15 Catalina, which eliminates support for 32-bit applications.

Please read this knowledge base article before upgrading.

Error -199

Error -199 means that the license has become corrupt due to a "desynchronization" between the activation server and your local Smaart installation. This may occur when Smaart is deactivated prior to an operating system upgrade, hardware change, or by the use of imaging and cloning software such as Time Machine or Acronis True Image.

This error cannot be resolved by the user, and you must email us to get activated again. Be sure to keep Smaart activated unless you are retiring the computer. We have some documentation on the proper use of imaging software--though Smaart does not fully support it. Please see our article on Time Machine, imaging and cloning here. If you are upgrading your operating system and are not sure what to do, we also have an article for that as well.

Please note: Do not delete your ticket file when experiencing Error -199 (or any other Smaart error besides 523) unless instructed to by a support representative.
