Smaart v.7 runs native under both Mac OS X and Windows from the same unified source code. It also features a new, streamlined interface that enables users to tap the power of new software architecture while preserving the renowned usability of previous Smaart versions – developed from over a decade of input from the largest (and still rapidly growing!) user base in the industry.

• CPU: 2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Processor or faster (or compatible)
• RAM: 2 GB or greater
• Video: Graphics processor with 128 M dedicated video RAM, minimum 1024 x 600 pixel display
• Sound Hardware: Audio Hardware with OS compatible ASIO, Wav/WDM drivers.

MACINTOSH

• Operating System: Mac OSX 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 (32 & 64 – bit)
• CPU: 2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Processor or faster (or compatible)
• RAM: 2 GB or greater
• Video: Graphics processor with 128 M dedicated video RAM, minimum 1024 x 600 pixel display
• Sound Hardware: Audio Hardware with OS compatible CoreAudio drivers.

* Please note that the above specifications are not intended as minimum system requirements, but rather our recommendation for a system that can take full advantage of Smaart 7's multi-channel measurement capability and other advanced features. Version 7 does not support PowerPC-based Macintosh computers and has not been tested on any operating system previous to Windows XP or MacOS 10.5. Other than that, Smaart 7 does most things more efficiently than any previous version of Smaart and is very scalable in design, meaning that it may run just fine on older/slower hardware in many cases, depending on your requirements. The best way to find out whether Smaart 7 can perform to your satisfaction on your current computer system is to try the demo version.
