Very few wireless transmission systems for microphones are really suitable for acoustical measurement work, due to limited dynamic range and frequency response and inline non-linear processors such as compressors and limiters and compander noise reduction. The TM-400 from Lectrosonics is specifically designed to overcome these limitations, making it a virtual industry standard for acoustic test and measurement work with larger systems and venues.

The S30 is a high-precision 1/4 inch reference microphone for SMAART™and other “audio band” measurement systems. It feature a razor-flat frequency response, fast impulse response, and exceptional polar characteristics. Relative to the more expensive SM30, the S30 is 64 mm / 2.5 in shorter, is flat to 23 kHz instead of 30 kHz, and has a slightly reduced peak SPL capability. The SC-1 sound calibrator is a single-frequency dual-amplitude,self contained field calibrator used to quickly and precisely verify the accuracy and the sensitivity of microphones.

The unit generates a 1kHz reference tone at 94 and 110 dB SPL. The SC-1 consists of a amplitude switchable constant frequency oscillator, a transducer and a microphone coupler. The coupler accepts a large variety of microphones.

Rational offers this unit pre-packaged in a carrying case with both the 1/2" and 1/4" adapters as well as with operating instructions and factory certified calibration chart. The calibrator uses a single 9 Volt battery (included).

The EMX-7150 is a 1⁄4” capsule, free-field omnidirectional (pressure) reference microphone from iSEMcon.
