When you need to get your microphone closer to a sound source high above the deck or as far as away possible from reflective surfaces; anytime you need to loft a microphone higher than an ordinary mic stand can go, it's time to call in the extender. This lightweight aluminum extension pole for Manfrotto baby series stands can extend the reach of the 7' Mini Stacker stand to nearly 15' (~178" – 4.52 m). It collapses to a relatively compact 34.6" (88 cm) for storage – small enough to fit in a trunk style case, duffel or blueprint tube – and weighs just 1.3 lb. (0.6 kg).

Product Description
The extender will actually fit the smaller stand that we sell as well, but as with any instrument of awesome power, we do recommend practicing a little common sense when wielding this one. Keep in mind that you will be raising the combined center of gravity of the mic, stand and cabling significantly, as well as increasing the weight bearing on the mic stand. Taking reasonable precautions such as weighting down or otherwise anchoring the base of the stand and/or stationing an assistant nearby to mind it are highly recommended.
The top of the extender pole has a 3/8-16TPI stud that will accept European style mic clips. Rational Acoustics includes a 3/8-5/8 thread adapter with this product that allows attachment of American-style mic clips.
