Status Update

Been awhile since my last
update so I figured I'd check in. I'm still working on the improved
data handling code. I keep pausing to investigate various reported
issues. Some of which I was able to identify and fix. Others are still
ongoing investigations. Bugs are generally my highest priority and as
such new code gets put on the back burner while I look into them. At
any rate the data handling is moving along nicely now and I hope to
complete it soon. I liked the new data handling approach when we first
designed it but I must admit that now that I've had time to play with
some of it for awhile I'm really quite pleased with it. Hopefully it
will be worth the wait.

Back in the office after having spent the week at InfoComm. The show went well and we got a lot of good feedback. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with people, answering questions and giving demo's. Was also cool to finally meet a lot of folks that I've worked with for awhile now but never actually met. It was a great trip and I had a blast, but I'm ready to start banging out code again. Just need to readjust to East coast time and shake the dust from my brain, caffeine don't fail me now.
What's next?

Now that the v6 Snow Leopard issue is in testing I am able to direct my full attention back to v7. So what's next? The to do list is enormous, so we have no shortage of things to do. But being as I can only work on one thing at a time, changes must be prioritized. Having gone through the list we've decided to tackle a redesign of how we handle captured data. Changes include, but are not limited to, group capture, on demand trace register creation, auto saving, access to trace level settings and user settable ordering of trace registers. In the end it will still be easy to use and access stored data but you'll have more control over what you do with it and how you interact with it.
